Haltermann Carless – External Works 2017

Working to a Sherwin Williams paint specification supplied by the
client, VariBlast were employed to clean and repaint two 24.5m dia. and seven 12.5m dia. vertical petrochemical storage tanks at their Harwich depot.

The works included hot washing all measured areas to remove salts
and surface grime, St 3 level hand preparation to all areas of sound existing coating and spot Sa 2.5 dry blasting cleaning where existing coatings had failed and oxidisation (rusting) had occurred. 

All works were carried out by hand at an average working height of
15m above ground level, via a 24m (80ft) MEWP access.
