As part of our total surface management solution, we can also paint and recoat newly cleaned and prepared surfaces.

Providing a complete end-to-end service means that we are in control of the whole process, from cleaning and preparation through to the final coat of paint. This one-stop approach reduces costs and means we, as the contractor, take ownership and responsibility for the whole process.

We have experience of the application of many different coatings on industrial and commercial projects, including twin or single epoxy paints, intumescent fire-protective coatings, resins and water-resistant sealants. The coatings we use are supplied by leading specialist paint manufacturers, including amongst others Sherwin-Williams, International Paints and Jotun.

In many cases, clients require a total surface repainting service on working premises where downtime and disruption must be kept to a minimum. These projects often require multiple levels of surface preparation, ranging from St2 (Hand Tool Cleaning) to Sa2.5 (Near White Blast Cleaning) right through to the use of abrasive
blast-cleaning systems. Other methods of paint removal can also be adopted, such as TAVEC paint stripping which breaks down the existing coating, enabling it to be easily removed by either DOFF cleaning or wet blasting.

The new coating has to then be applied as per the manufacture’s specifications to ensure no contamination of the prepared surfaces occurs and the correct coating specification is achieved.

We fully understand the constraints and pressures of this type of project. VariBlast has considerable experience of surface preparation and repainting processes within production facilities, large-scale property renovations and alterations.

One of the key benefits of using VariBlast for a total surface refurbishment is the ease of operation and consistency of service. As soon as the preparation work is finished, we can immediately commence with the repainting, optimising all opportunities to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

As part of our service, we will provide all the necessary equipment for access required to complete the task and ensure that all waste is removed at the end of the process. Our standards are always set to exceed expectation.

If you have a painting and refurbishment project, we recommend that you meet with one of our consultants who will make a site visit to discuss the specifications and understand the constraints and parameters of the project. VariBlast will then work with you and provide expert advice to ensure all your requirements are achievable.
