Chemical Strip Samples
Ahead of our works at the Norwich Forum, we carried out a series of localised chemical stripping samples on painted steel frames. These samples were completed to identify the most effective method for removing existing coatings while protecting the underlying steel.

The trial areas allowed us to assess coating thickness, adhesion, and the condition of the steel beneath, ensuring the chosen approach would deliver a consistent and durable finish across the full scheme. Chemical stripping proved particularly effective in these locations, enabling controlled removal without causing damage or unnecessary abrasion to the steel frames.

The results of these samples directly informed our approach to the main project at the Norwich Forum, which involved the complete redecoration of existing external structural steel doors and windows. Carrying out sample works in advance allowed the project to be planned efficiently, reduced risk on site, and helped achieve a high-quality final finish appropriate for a prominent public building.
