Finishing up at Norwich Castle

As Norwich Castle’s renovation takes centre stage in a recent documentary, we’re proud to highlight the role our team played in this landmark project. Behind the scenes, we supported the transformation of this historic site with specialist works carried out both on and off-site.

At the castle itself, our team carefully stripped back the original columns using peel-away systems before applying fresh protective coatings. We also treated the new structural steels with intumescent paint.

Off-site, we utilised a dedicated spray booth to ensure a controlled environment and consistent, high-quality finish.

Working alongside principal contractor Morgan Sindall Ltd, our focus was on combining precision with heritage sensitivity – making sure every stage respected the unique character of the building while meeting the technical demands of a complex renovation.

Being part of the wider restoration of one of the UK’s most iconic castles has been a privilege for our team, and it’s inspiring to see the story of Norwich Castle’s transformation shared with a wider audience through the recent National TV documentary: ‘The Castle, Rebuilding History’, broadcasted at the end of August. We’re proud that our contribution helped to preserve and enhance a building that will continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.
