On site with VariBlast – 25 North Colonnade, London
We’ve revisited our archives from 25 North Colonnade in Canary Wharf, London. This time, we’re giving you a closer look at what happens behind the scenes.
Our scope on this project involved blasting the steelwork back to Sa 2.5 standard, after the client had removed the outdated cementitious coating. It’s always satisfying seeing the transformation as the surface is cleaned up and ready for its next stage of protection, ensuring long-term structural durability.

The site itself is impressive, with great views across Canary Wharf as the refurbishment takes shape. Our team were on hand to tackle the steel preparation safely and efficiently, working around other trades to keep the project moving smoothly.

It’s always rewarding seeing the results after the effort that goes into every stage of the prep – especially one in such an iconic part of London. A big thanks to the VariBlast team for their hard work and attention to detail on site!
