Paint Removal with Tensid Tavec® 201

Tavec 201 is specially formulated to remove multiple layers of paint and other coatings from a wide range of surfaces including concrete, stone, brick, wood and metal. Unlike traditional harsh chemical strippers, Tavec 201 contains no hazardous solvents and produces no chemical paint waste, making it both safe for operatives and environmentally friendly.

The list of benefits to this paint stripper is comprehensive. It’s biodegradable and non-toxic, safe for our operatives and the environment. Additionally, it’s effective on multiple layers of paint and coatings: including polished and unpolished stone, concrete, wood and more, making this a versatile material for our works. These factors partnered with the low environmental impact makes Tavec 201 ideal for restoration and refurbishment projects.

For large-scale internal coating removals, we apply Tavec 201 using an airless spray gun, ensuring a uniform coating across the ceiling or wall surface. The product – this greenish paste – is left to dwell until the paint softens and lifts, then carefully removed, revealing the original finish beneath. This method has proven especially effective in removing internal coatings from concrete finishes, as seen below during our works at 127 Kensington High Street.
