RAF Mildenhall Hangar
Lead Paint Removal and Re-painting
VariBlast were contracted by Morgan Sindall plc to carry out lead paint removal works within the roof structure and supporting columns of a 3000m2 WW2 Aircraft Hangar at the RAF Mildenhall airbase in Suffolk.
The works included dry blasting all structural steel work back to an Sa2.5 (white metal) preparation standard, followed by the application of a two coat twin epoxy ‘International Paints’ coating system.
All works were carried out via MEWP access equipment.
