Sherwin Williams FX6000 Training

We are proud to announce that our team has completed in-house training on the Sherwin-Williams FIRETEX® FX6000 intumescent coating system.

At the time of our training in 2020, FX6000 was a brand-new product,  never before used in the industry, representing the next generation of fire-protective coating technology from Sherwin-Williams.

This specialist training qualified us to both supply and apply the FX6000 system, allowing us to offer clients a complete, certified service from product supply through to expert application and quality assurance.

What is FIRETEX® FX6000?

FIRETEX® FX6000 is a high-performance, fast-curing intumescent coating designed to deliver passive fire protection for structural steel. Developed to improve on earlier systems such as FX2000 and FX1000, FX6000 offers enhanced durability, mechanical strength, and dramatically faster drying times – often allowing coated steel to be handled in less than an hour.

Key features include:

  • Ultra-fast drying: Reduces handling and turnaround time on structural steel projects.
  • Durability: High mechanical strength for tough site and transport conditions.
  • Corrosion resistance: Suitable for demanding environments up to ISO 12944 C5.
  • Proven fire performance: Up to 2 hours of fire protection.
  • Efficiency: Ideal for shop application, ensuring consistent quality and reduced project delays.

Our relationship with Sherwin-Williams extends far beyond this training. We have worked in partnership with them for many years, both before and since the FX6000 programme.

Being trained and approved for FX6000 has positioned us at the forefront of the coatings industry, and together with Sherwin-Williams, we continue to bring cutting-edge fire protection solutions to projects across the region, combining global innovation with local expertise.
