WWII Hangar Refurbishment with Sherwin-Williams
Back in 2020, we delivered a full refurbishment package on this aircraft hangar. With the hangar projects we’re now showcasing, it’s a great moment to revisit this particular job from a slightly different angle – especially as it was a strong example of our long-term partnership with Sherwin-Williams, whose products played a major role throughout the refurbishment.

For this project, we carried out a complete treatment of the hangar floor and structural steelwork, starting with thorough surface preparation using high-performance blasting systems to remove the existing coatings and contaminants. Once the concrete had been cleaned back and the joints fully refurbished, we sealed and coated the entire floor area in the specified colour, creating a clean, durable, and fully protected finish suitable for heavy aviation use.

The steelwork was also restored throughout the hangar, with all surfaces cleaned, prepared, and coated using Sherwin-Williams protective systems. Their products gave us the reliability and performance needed for a large space exposed to constant movement, airflow, temperature changes, and operational wear.

This project remains a great example of how we combine expert preparation and high-quality coatings to refurbish large hangars efficiently and to a high standard. This one serves as a strong reminder of the scale of work we can deliver – and the importance of trusted partners like Sherwin-Williams in making it possible.
