Bullring Shopping Centre – Four Roof Trusses

Working to a Sherwin-Williams paint specification, VariBlast were employed to carry out a full refurbishment of four large roof trusses situated above the Bullring shopping centre in central Birmingham.

Working in such a high footfall location (35 to 40 thousand people per day) presented its challenges, especially when operating such large machinery.

The works involved St3 hand and power tool surface preparation, followed by a solvent clean and three coat paint system. All works were carried out by hand at an average working height of 15 to 20m above ground level, via 120ft MEWP access.
