Norwich City Hall Railings

Overlooking the Market Square in the centre of the city the Norwich City Hall has one of Europe’s longest Balconies. This is used by visiting dignitaries and Footballers alike to address the public or celebrate major occasions.

The railings need to look at their best for these occasions. We were tasked with giving them a refresh to allow them to stand out for the next 10 years. Using careful hand preparation and International paints the balcony railings were repainted in the early part of 2020. Where the lower railings were painted in 2019.

Access to the Balcony was gained through the meeting rooms and from scaffolding supplied by BDC Scaffolding.  Working through one of the wettest Winter periods in recent history the works were completed with minimal downtime.
