Southwark Bridge

VariBlast were employed to remove the cementitious coating and sandblast the steelwork to return to the client Primer coated. The concrete constructed areas were also in need of cleaning in order to bring through to a standard finish throughout.

Working over a period of 6 months to complete the works VariBlast took the unorthodox method of starting on the ground level in order to allow the scaffolding to commence on the outside of the building. After the ground floor we moves to the top of the building and worked down. This meant that towards the end of the project there were levels without any façade and only monoflex to the scaffolding to minimise the dust escaping.
