A DUST-FREE SOLUTION TO SURFACE PREPARATION ENSURES A CLEAN SITE AT ALL TIMES
Working in confined spaces or where dust must be kept to a minimum requires a different approach and for projects of this nature, we recommend using vacuum blasting or dustless blasting.
By using vacuum blasting, VariBlast is able to provide a highly effective particle and waste management service which is more suited to operating within restricted or enclosed spaces. It is also particularly useful when the requirements for creating an enclosed working environment are not financially viable, such as areas requiring encapsulation or buildings requiring scaffolding and large areas of sheeting.
Although vacuum blasting can take longer to treat the same area when compared to other conventional blasting systems, there are considerable advantages to using this system and it can often provide the perfect solution to specific site constraints or environmental concerns. Vacuum blasting has the added advantage of limiting disruption or reducing the impact on other processes or personnel on-site. Architects in particular are keen to specify vacuum or dust-free blasting as it ensures surface preparation or cleaning can be still be carried out, even in the most sensitive of environments.
HOW VACUUM BLASTING WORKS
Vacuum blasting uses a dual-purpose tool that both supplies the blast media and simultaneously collects the spent media and the dislocated particulate, which is removed from the blasting area to a fully sealed waste storage containment bin. We use portable systems that can be used with all types of blasting media, depending on the surface and finish required.
VariBlast is able to provide a wide range of surface preparation services. If you would like to know more, please contact us to speak to one of our team.
